- Title / Designation: Senior IT Application Analyst - FIS
- Location: Gurgaon, India
- Work mode: Hybrid (3 days WFO)
Role & responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for FIS applications and related business processes to ensure smooth operations.
- Analyze production incidents, defects, and system failures to identify root causes and resolve issues quickly.
- Investigate data discrepancies, reconciliation breaks, and failed transactions to maintain end-to-end data and process accuracy.
- Support incident management activities including triage, escalation, problem management, and defect tracking.
- Gather and document functional and technical requirements for system fixes, improvements, and enhancements.
- Support solution design, testing, deployment, and post-production validation to ensure successful system changes.
- Monitor application performance, transaction flows, and system interfaces to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
- Support inbound and outbound integrations such as APIs, file-based transfers, and middleware interfaces.
- Validate data mappings, transformation logic, reconciliation rules, and exception handling processes.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including process flows, support procedures, control matrices, and issue logs.
- Drive automation and process improvements to reduce manual effort and improve system reliability.
Candidate requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in technical analysis, system analysis, or application support.
- 5+ years of experience supporting FIS applications such as Treasury and Risk Manager, SWIFT Services, or GetPaid.
- Experience in production support, including handling data flows and transaction processing.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of SDLC, incident management, and change management processes.
- Basic knowledge of APIs, file interfaces, middleware, and data mapping.
- Experience with testing, defect tracking, and release support.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with both business and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in banking, fintech, payments, or financial services.
- Knowledge of banking file formats like BAI, MT940, or CAMT.
- Familiarity with monitoring or service management tools.
- Exposure to Agile or Scrum ways of working.
