About the role
The Database & Cloud Security Specialist will be responsible for administering on premise and cloud infrastructure including servers, storage, networks, firewalls, and virtualization, ensuring high availability and performance of business critical systems including ERP, HR, finance, and collaboration tools
Oversee endpoint management including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals
Manage backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans
), overseeing Azure cloud operations, and ensuring robust security protocols across all IT assets. This role is key to protecting sensitive business data and maintaining system integrity across the enterprise.
Duties & Responsibilities
Infrastructure Operations
- Manage on premise and cloud infrastructure including servers, storage, networks, firewalls, and virtualization
- Ensure high availability and performance of business-critical systems India Terra , ERP ,CRM,Azure
- Oversee endpoint management including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Manage backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans
- Should have experience in Microsoft Email Management , Controls , permissions and setup policies
Cloud and Network Management
- Administer cloud platforms such as Azure or equivalent
- Manage LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi Fi, and internet connectivity across offices and plants
- Monitor network performance and resolve incidents proactively
Security and Compliance
- Implement infrastructure security controls aligned with ISO 27001 and DPDP Act requirements
- Enforce access controls, patch management, antivirus, endpoint protection, and encryption
- Support audits related to information security, data protection, and IT controls
- Ensure infrastructure readiness for data privacy, logging, and breach response
Database Administration (SQL Server):
- Administer, configure, and optimize SQL Server environments (on-prem and cloud-hosted)
- Ensure high availability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices
- Implement and manage database-level security (user roles, permissions, encryption)
Security & Compliance:
- Implement and enforce IT security protocols (firewalls, endpoint security, identity access management)
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal data governance policies
- Respond to security incidents and support forensic investigations
Vendor and Asset Management
- Manage infrastructure vendors, ISPs, cloud providers, and OEMs
- Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and renewals
- Maintain IT asset inventory and lifecycle management
Incident and Problem Management
- Act as escalation point for infrastructure incidents and outages
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive actions
- Coordinate with application, security, and business teams during major incidents
Documentation and Governance
- Maintain infrastructure architecture diagrams and SOPs
- Define and enforce infrastructure standards and best practices
- Support IT policies such as acceptable use, access control, and physical security
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications
- B Tech, BE, MCA, or equivalent in Computer Science or IT
- Relevant certifications such as Azure, AWS, CCNA, ITIL, or ISO 27001 preferred
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in database administration and IT security
