The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior iOS Developer to lead the development of our native iOS applications. You will work closely with the CTO to architect, build, and maintain sophisticated mobile applications that integrate with our sports analytics platform, smart batsensors, and video analysis systems. This role requires technical excellence in native iOS development, a passion for building high-performance applications, and ideally, a love for cricket.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Development
- Design, develop, and maintain native iOS applications using Swift and the latest iOS technologies
- Architect robust, scalable mobile solutions targeting iPhones and iPads
- Implement seamless backend integrations with RESTful APIs and real-time data services
- Integrate Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity for communication will be plus
- Optimise applications for performance, battery efficiency, memory management, and
- processing speed
- Ensure applications meet the highest standards for reliability and user experience
Team Leadership and; Collaboration
- Mentor junior iOS developers through code reviews and technical guidance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including backend developers, UI/UX designers, and product managers
- Participate in client requirements gathering and translate business needs into technical solutions
- Contribute to system design discussions and architectural decisions
Quality and; Process
- Establish and maintain best practices for iOS development within the team
- Implement efficient testing strategies and CI/CD pipelines
- Stay current with emerging iOS technologies and evaluate their potential benefits
Required Skills (Experience)
- 4+ years of professional native iOS development experience
- Expert proficiency in Swift; familiarity with Objective-C for legacy code
- Deep understanding of iOS architecture patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture, MVC)
- Strong experience with native iOS frameworks including UIKit, SwiftUI, CoreData, Core Animation, and Combine
- Go to have experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) integration and device communication
- Proven track record of backend integration using RESTful APIs, URLSession, and modern networking libraries
- Experience with performance optimisation, memory management, and debugging tools (Instruments)
- Familiarity with App Store submission process, provisioning, and code signing
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks (CoreML, Vision, Create ML) for on-device intelligence
- Knowledge of ARKit or computer vision technologies
- Experience with video processing and camera APIs (AVFoundation)
- Experience with Video streaming applications
- Background in hardware sensor integration (accelerometers, gyroscopes)
- Experience in sports technology, fitness applications, or wearable devices
- Familiarity with real-time data processing and analytics
- Experience leading development teams or mentoring junior developers
- A genuine passion for cricket or sports technology
