Role Overview

The Senior Investment Analyst will support the end-to-end investment process, including evaluating investment opportunities, conducting market and financial analysis, coordinating due diligence, preparing investment materials, supporting fundraising activities for portfolio companies, and monitoring portfolio performance. This role requires strong analytical, research, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders and support investment execution in a fast-paced venture capital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Investment Evaluation: Analyze investment opportunities through financial analysis, market research, business model assessment, and initial due diligence.

• Investment Execution: Prepare investment memos, financial models, valuation analyses, presentations, and coordinate end-to-end due diligence with internal and external stakeholders.

• Portfolio Management: Monitor portfolio performance, track KPIs, support founders, and oversee post-investment reporting and execution.

• Research & Insights: Conduct industry, market, and competitive research to identify investment themes and support strategic decision-making.

• Deal Pipeline: Support deal sourcing through market mapping, inbound opportunity screening, and founder outreach.

• Fundraising: Lead fundraising activities for portfolio companies, including preparing investor materials, financial models, pitch decks, data rooms, investor outreach, and coordinating the fundraising process with founders and investors.

• Reporting & Operations: Maintain CRM, investment databases, pipeline trackers, and prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, or investment roles, with demonstrated expertise in deal sourcing and early-stage investment evaluation, along with experience working with a US fund.

• Education: Engineering from a top-tier academic institution; an MBA from a leading or globally recognized program is preferred.

• Analytical Skills: Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills. Able to perform detailed assessments of startup opportunities and make data-driven investment decisions.

• Strategic Mindset: Ability to design, implement, and refine sourcing strategies based on market insights, competitive landscape, and firm priorities.

• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex information and investment cases clearly to stakeholders.

• Leadership: Ability to mentor and manage junior team members, as well as collaborate effectively across teams to drive outcomes.

• Tech Knowledge: Strong understanding of emerging technologies, particularly in sectors like AI, SaaS, and deep-tech startups.

• Engineering Background: An engineering background is a strong plus, offering a solid foundation for evaluating deep-tech startups, understanding product-market fit in technical sectors, and engaging more credibly with founders on product and technology.
