Balwaan is building innovative agriculture and rural technology solutions across power equipment, smart machines, and IoT-enabled products. Our IoT division works on connected devices for agriculture machinery involving telemetry, GPS tracking, theft protection, machine analytics, and mobile app integration.

We are looking for a hands-on IoT Systems Engineer who can independently handle embedded systems development and support scaling of our smart products ecosystem.

Roles & Responsibilities

● Lead development and debugging of IoT-based embedded systems

● Work on firmware development for microcontrollers and connected devices

● Coordinate with hardware vendors, PCB manufacturers, and component suppliers

● Support hardware design validation and prototype testing

● Work closely with mobile app and backend teams for data integration

● Analyse field failures and improve device reliability

● Create technical documentation, SOPs, and testing procedures

● Assist in production readiness and manufacturing support

● Guide junior firmware and hardware engineers

● Support OTA updates, telemetry systems, GPS integration, and sensor interfacing

● Coordinate with cross-functional teams for product development timelines

Required Skills

● 4+ years experience in IoT / Embedded Systems

● Strong understanding of microcontrollers and embedded firmware

● Experience with communication protocols:

○ UART

○ SPI

○ I2C

○ CAN

○ MQTT

● Experience with GSM/GPS/WiFi/Bluetooth-based devices

● Understanding of PCB design and hardware debugging

● Experience with battery-operated and low-power systems preferred

● Familiarity with cloud connectivity and IoT data systems

● Good vendor coordination and project management skills

Preferred Experience

● Experience in automotive, industrial IoT, EV, or agriculture equipment

● Experience with ESP32, STM32, Nordic, or similar platforms

● Understanding of production testing and manufacturing processes

● Exposure to mobile app integrated devices
