Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Interior Designer role based in Mumbai. The Senior Interior Designer will lead interior projects from concept to completion, including developing design concepts, preparing mood boards, and presenting ideas to clients. Responsibilities include detailed space planning, coordinating with architects and contractors, and producing or reviewing construction drawings to ensure design intent is met. The role involves selecting FF&E, finishes, and materials, preparing specifications and schedules, and maintaining design quality across all project stages. The Senior Interior Designer will conduct regular site visits, manage design changes, mentor junior team members, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope while maintaining strong client relationships.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Interior Design and FF&E, including concept development, material selection, and furniture, fixtures, and equipment specification.
- Proven expertise in Space Planning and Architecture fundamentals to optimize layouts, circulation, and functionality.
- Advanced ability to develop and review Construction Drawings, details, and documentation for on-site execution.
- Professional experience managing end-to-end interior design projects, preferably in luxury residential, hospitality, or commercial sectors.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar), plus basic MS Office or equivalent tools.
- Excellent visual communication, presentation, and client-facing skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions.
- Strong coordination skills for working with contractors, consultants, vendors, and site teams, including regular site supervision.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; advanced certifications in interior design or project management are an advantage.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor junior designers, manage multiple projects, and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
