Position Overview
Pescora Designs is seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our team in a full-time, in-office capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of design projects — from initial conceptualization through to final execution — ensuring technical accuracy, design integrity, and client satisfaction at every stage.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design process for residential and commercial projects, from concept development through to project handover
- Develop space plans, design concepts, and detailed construction drawings in accordance with project briefs and regulatory standards
- Liaise and coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure design intent is accurately translated into execution
- Source, evaluate, and select FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) in line with project specifications, budget, and aesthetic direction
- Review and approve technical drawings, material specifications, and finish schedules
- Conduct periodic site visits to monitor execution quality and ensure adherence to design documentation
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritizing deliverables and timelines effectively
- Prepare and present design proposals, mood boards, and material palettes to clients
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, safety standards, and structural considerations
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience in interior design, with a demonstrated portfolio spanning both residential and commercial projects
- Proven experience managing the complete design lifecycle — from client briefing and concept development through to design execution and project handover
- Demonstrated expertise in space planning, architectural principles, and interior design methodology
- Hands-on experience preparing and interpreting construction drawings, working drawings, and technical documentation
- Established experience in FF&E sourcing, vendor coordination, and procurement processes
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, or equivalent)
- Experience coordinating with architects, contractors, and on-site execution teams to ensure design fidelity
- Prior experience leading or mentoring junior designers will be considered an added advantage, though not mandatory
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong sense of design aesthetics
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, consultants, and on-site teams
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards
