ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for a Senior Integration Engineer to design and develop reliable, scalable, and secure integration services using Java 17+ and Python. The role will involve microservices, API and event-driven integrations, AWS, observability, CI/CD, and technical leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and develop integration microservices using Java 17+ with Spring Boot 3 or Python 3.11+ with FastAPI.
Apply microservice patterns including Saga, Circuit Breaker, Retry with backoff/jitter, Bulkhead, Transactional Outbox, CQRS, Strangler Fig, and idempotent consumers.
Develop synchronous and asynchronous integrations using REST, gRPC, RabbitMQ, SQS/SNS, and webhooks.
Work with API contracts using OpenAPI and AsyncAPI.
Build and deploy containerised services using Docker on AWS, including ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, S3, Secrets Manager, ECR, and IAM.
Implement observability using Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana (ELK), Zipkin, Micrometre Tracing/Brave, and correlation IDs.
Own CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket and Jenkins, including quality gates, deployment, and rollback.
Develop secure services using Spring Security 6, OAuth2, JWT, OIDC, mTLS, FastAPI security, and OWASP API Security Top 10.
Work with async Python technologies including asyncio, Pydantic v2, httpx, aio-pika, aioboto3, Celery, and tenacity.
Write unit, integration, and contract tests using JUnit 5, Mockito, Testcontainers, pytest, and Pact.
Contribute to design documents, ADRs, code reviews, mentoring, and technical discussions.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Expert hands-on experience with Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3 / Spring Cloud.
Strong hands-on experience with Python 3.11+ and FastAPI.
Strong knowledge of Spring Security 6, OAuth2, JWT, OIDC, and API security.
Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ or SQS/SNS and event-driven architecture.
Strong understanding of microservice design patterns and idempotency.
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
Hands-on AWS experience with ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, RDS, S3, IAM, and ECR.
Hands-on experience with ELK and Zipkin tracing.
Strong experience with Bitbucket and Jenkins.
Strong SQL and database knowledge.

GOOD TO HAVE:
PostgreSQL/MySQL, Redis, MongoDB/DynamoDB.
Terraform or CloudFormation.
SOAP/XML, SFTP, CSV/EDI integrations.
Webhook security including HMAC, rate limiting, replay protection, and idempotency.
Flyway/Liquibase, Alembic, Redis caching.
SonarQube, OWASP Dependency-Check, Snyk, Trivy.
Apache Camel / Spring Integration / iPaaS.
AI-assisted development using Copilot/Claude and LLM API integrations.
