Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Senior Instrumentation Engineer with strong experience in SPI (SmartPlant Instrumentation) and related tools to support onshore and offshore oil & gas projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid background working in EPC environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage instrumentation deliverables using SPI (Instrument Index, Data Sheets, I/O Lists, Loop Diagrams, etc.).
- Design and specify field instrumentation, control valves, and analyzers.
- Prepare technical documentation including material requisitions, vendor data reviews, and engineering calculations.
- Review P&IDs, hook-up drawings, and control philosophies.
- Coordinate with process, electrical, and control systems teams for integrated design.
- Ensure designs comply with project specifications and international standards (IEC, ISA).
- Support procurement, construction, and commissioning teams with technical input.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Control Engineering.
- 8+ years of experience in instrumentation engineering within the oil & gas industry.
- Proficiency in SPI (SmartPlant Instrumentation) and familiarity with other design tools like AutoCAD, InTools, or AVEVA Instrumentation.
- Experience in both onshore and offshore projects.
- Strong understanding of instrumentation design standards and best practices.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior work experience with EPC companies such as Worley, KBR, Technip, McDermott, Wood, or equivalent.
- Experience with brownfield modifications and integration projects.
- Familiarity with control system integration and hazardous area classification.
