Samridhi Infotech is hiring for a fast-growing EdTech company that partners with educational organizations in the US and worldwide to design impactful learning experiences. The company builds standards-aligned digital curriculum for US K-12 and Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, working closely with US-based instructional design leads, subject matter experts and production teams.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Instructional Designer for a 3-month remote contract to design engaging, standards-aligned learning experiences for US K-12 and CTE courses. You will work closely with a US-based Lead Instructional Designer, Course Instructional Designer and subject matter experts to translate technical content into learner-centered activities, assessments and storyboards. This role also supports AI-assisted course development, refining prompt structures and reviewing AI-generated content for instructional quality and accuracy.

This is a US-shift role, requiring overlap with the US team starting 5-6 PM IST for a 9-hour shift.

Key responsibilities

  • Design instructional activities aligned with pedagogical frameworks and US K-12/CTE program standards
  • Develop formative, summative and performance-based assessments that reflect real-world tasks
  • Develop storyboards across modules and lessons, in line with direction from the US Lead and Course IDs
  • Ensure tight alignment between learning objectives, activities and assessments, and close instructional gaps
  • Partner with SMEs to translate technical content into learner-centered experiences
  • Align activities and assessments to US state and industry standards (e.g., TEKS, Florida CTE, CTSOs)
  • Produce clear, complete instructional documentation ready for handoff to production teams
  • Design activities and assessments that fit the client's digital learning platform/LMS
  • Review and edit AI-generated content for accuracy, coherence and alignment with learning objectives

What we are looking for

  • Minimum 2 years of experience on US K-12 curriculum projects (mandatory)
  • 5-10 years of overall experience in instructional design or digital learning content
  • Excellent written and spoken English for daily collaboration with US-based IDs and SMEs
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education (B.Ed/M.Ed), Educational Technology, English or a related field
  • Strong command of instructional design principles, learner-centered design and assessment design, including item writing and rubrics
  • Proven experience producing assessments, storyboards and lesson plans for production teams
  • Working knowledge of accessibility guidelines (WCAG)
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with Articulate Storyline/Rise and LMS platforms (e.g., Canvas)
  • Available to work US shift hours starting 5-6 PM IST for a 9-hour shift, for the full 3-month contract

Good to have

  • Familiarity with US CTE clusters, pathways, state frameworks (e.g., TEKS, Florida CTE) and CTSOs
  • Experience working with US-based ID teams, education publishers or institutions
  • Experience with generative AI tools in content development workflows
