Job Summary
- The Senior Instructional Designer will collaborate with internal subject matter experts and team members to project manage, design, develop and deliver innovative learning programs for TriNet's Talent Management team to support all areas of the business. This role is responsible for identifying and assessing needed learning outcomes, understanding the performance expectations and gaps, and assisting in deriving the appropriate learning solution. The Designer will use interpersonal, written, and visual communication skills to bring together text, images, video, and audio to communicate and educate. Attention to detail, an eye for design, and comfort with writing both text and dialogue are strengths. This role is ultimately responsible for incorporating adult learning principles in an impactful, engaging, and memorable way.
Essential Duties/Responsibilites
- Actively and consistently support all efforts to enhance the customer experience throughout the development and delivery of instructional products and programs.
- Rapidly and iteratively create engaging self-paced course content, such as e-Learning courses, software simulations, instructor-led courses (virtual and in-person), instructional guides, performance support tools, and learning assessments.
- Design learning solutions that may include knowledge checks, exercises, scripts, storyboards, simulations, or games to engage participants and maximize knowledge and skill retention.
- Project management - be responsible for the learning product's design, development style, content execution, and instructional standards.
- Work with SMEs and managers to define scope of learning path/experience: clarify objectives, timelines and projected outcomes and to ensure the accuracy of material.
- Continuous Improvement - stay current with e-Learning and classroom training trends and recommend other training media, methods, and approaches to ensure learning environments are relevant and engaging to learners.

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
Work Experience
- Typically 5+ years in facilitation and development of training programs required
- Prior development of e-Learning and videos using authoring software (Articulate (Storyline and RISE)), Camtasia, AI software, etc. preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- Licenses/Certifications Licenses/Certification Details Time Frame Required/ Preferred
- Instructional Design Certification a plus preferred
- Other professional Learning and Development certifications (ATD, DDI, etc.) a plus preferred
- Project Management Professional Certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to develop training that incorporates adult learning theories, visual learning design and interactive training techniques; must have experience with development in multiple modalities of instruction including instructor-led training (synchronous and asynchronous) and eLearning in a corporate setting Skilled in instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE/SAM/AGILE or a rapid instructional design methodology
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve business and project goals while leading multiple priorities.
- Translating written content into visual aids (graphics, animations, interactive charts and graphs, video-based scenarios)
- Excellent communication skills are a must including the ability to gather and clarify requirements, present solutions, convey value, and manage expectations
- Innovative and creative, adaptive, and quick to learn.
- Experience leading multiple projects under tight time constraints in a complex environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
