Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Instructional Designer. The Senior Instructional Designer will be responsible for performing comprehensive needs analyses, designing instructional materials, developing curriculums, managing learning programs, and supporting training initiatives. The role involves working closely with teams to create engaging, effective, and accessible learning experiences aligned with educational objectives and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the instructional design of digital courses, simulations, and learning pathways
- Translate pathway blueprints and learning outcomes into creator-ready design packs
- Review and quality-assure vendor-developed content
- Design assessments (diagnostic, formative, summative) and rubrics
- Ensure alignment with student grade levels (G912) and learning science principles
- Collaborate with LMS and UX teams
- Mentor junior instructional designers
Required Qualifications
- 610+ years of experience in instructional design or learning experience design
- Strong portfolio of digital courses and/or simulations
- Experience with instructional design models
- Proven experience working with content vendors or agencies
- Strong assessment and learning outcomes design skills
- Familiarity with LMS platforms and SCORM/xAPI standards
Preferred Skills
- Experience in K-12, higher education, or career readiness programs
- Experience designing scenario-based or simulation learning
- Familiarity with tools such as Articulate, Rise, Captivate, Genially, or H5P
- Experience working in the UAE or regional education context
- Comfort working in fast-paced, large-scale programs
