Senior Inhouse Expert / Consultant SAP GTS

Your Tasks

• As an SAP consultant, you will manage the Foreign Trade (export control and customs) area with a focus on GTS and advise the business departments on all IT matters based on the defined target architecture as part of projects
• You will strengthen the SAP Foreign Trade team for our international SAP S/4HANA transformation project
• You will conceive, design and implement business solutions in GTS considering our governance model
• You carry out the customization of the application, the functional tests, plus support with integration tests or user acceptance tests
• The creation of IT concepts as input for our development team is also part of your task
• You advise and support the selection of suitable applications
• You are the contact person for external service providers and responsible of managing them in the project
• Together with your colleagues, you will provide holistic support for our SAP foreign trade (export control and customs) applications, add-ons and interfaces to subsystems
• You will work closely with our internal colleagues in an international environment
• You will work at a maximum of 20% as part of Level 2 and 3 support

Your Qualifications

• You have a degree in computer science, industrial engineering, business administration or a comparable field of study
• You have good professional experience as a consultant in the SAP logistics environment with a focus on GTS, ideally experience in the GTS e4H environment
• You have in-depth SAP knowledge in GTS Export Management (Export Classification, Export Compliance and Customs Export) and GTS Preference Management, cross-module integration knowledge in the area of logistics (eg Sales Distribution Foreign Trade (SD-FT)), as well as end-to-end process knowledge, eg quote to cash
• You also have practical experience in the conception and implementation of business processes in SAP GTS and, if possible, in relation with S/4HANA
• You have worked several years outside of India for international companies and have a very good understanding about the legal requirement in export control (eg based on US law, European law and German law)
• You are a team player with a cross-functional and process-oriented mindset, as well as strong analytical skills combined with assertiveness
• You are characterized by a strong customer and service orientation, coupled with diplomatic skills
• A confident demeanor, an independent way of working and strong communication skills are among your strengths
• Very good written and spoken English skills complete your profile
• Knowledge in German would be a benefit
