About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure / Platform Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), hybrid environments, and infrastructure automation.
The ideal candidate will have experience working across AWS/GCP and on-premises infrastructure, with strong expertise in Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, VMware, Windows Server, networking, IAM, and automated infrastructure provisioning.
This is an infrastructure-focused role, rather than a purely application-focused DevOps position.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, provision, automate, and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS and/or GCP.
- Develop and maintain Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automated infrastructure provisioning.
- Work with cloud networking, IAM, compute, storage, security, and landing-zone environments.
- Automate infrastructure configuration and lifecycle management using Ansible and PowerShell.
- Manage and automate infrastructure across VMware and Windows Server environments.
- Support hybrid infrastructure spanning on-premises VMware and public cloud platforms.
- Develop reusable automation and configuration-management solutions.
- Implement infrastructure deployment and automation through CI/CD pipelines.
- Use Git for version control of infrastructure code, scripts, and automation.
- Automate infrastructure lifecycle activities including provisioning, configuration, maintenance, scaling, and decommissioning.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, platform, security, and engineering teams to improve reliability and operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience in Infrastructure / Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, Systems Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with AWS and/or GCP infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, compute, storage, and infrastructure provisioning.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible and/or other configuration-management tools.
- Strong PowerShell scripting and infrastructure automation experience.
- Experience with VMware / vSphere / ESXi / vCenter.
- Strong experience with Windows Server administration and automation.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD for infrastructure automation.
- Understanding of hybrid infrastructure / on-premises and cloud environments.
Good to Have
- Experience with cloud landing zones and enterprise cloud environments.
- AWS Organizations / Control Tower or equivalent GCP organization architecture.
- Python or Bash scripting.
- Cloud migration / modernization experience.
- Infrastructure security and compliance.
- Monitoring, logging, and operational automation.
- Experience working in large enterprise environments.
Important
We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong Infrastructure Automation / Platform Engineering background.
Profiles focused primarily on Kubernetes, Docker, application CI/CD, or software development, without strong hands-on infrastructure provisioning and automation experience, may not be suitable for this position.
