About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Storage Automation to support and enhance enterprise storage automation platforms across Block, File, Object, and Data Protection technologies. This role focuses on automation maintenance, L2/L3 support, reporting and dashboards (Power BI) and controlled code deployments, ensuring stable, scalable and auditready automation services.


In this role, you will:

  • Provide L2/L3 support for storage automation services, APIs, and orchestration workflows.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues including API failures, configuration drift, data inconsistencies, and workflow defects.

  • Maintain and enhance automation scripts, services, and reusable modules supporting storage lifecycle operations.

  • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for automation health, SLAs, volumes, failures, and compliance metrics.

  • Integrate data from automation platforms, databases, ServiceNow, and inventory systems for reporting and audit needs.

  • Support code changes, testing, reviews, and deployments using CI/CD and change management processes.

  • Participate in incident response for production automation systems.

  • Collaborate with Storage Engineering, Architecture, Platform and Automation teams to operationalize automation improvements.


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 5+ years of experience in software development or infrastructure automation.

  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar backend languages.

  • Experience with Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, or shell scripting.

  • Working knowledge of relational databases (Yugabyte, MySQL or similar).

  • Experience with REST APIs and system integrations.

  • Understanding of enterprise storage concepts (NAS, SAN, Object Storage, replication, capacity, retention).

  • Experience supporting production systems within ITSM frameworks (ServiceNow).


Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of InfrastructureasCode and automation frameworks (Ansible, Terraform).
  • Experience of working on operational metrics, observability, and reliability practices.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting/dashboard tools.
  • Exposure to enterprise storage and backup platforms (e.g., NetApp, Dell PowerMax, StorageGRID, Pure, Cohesity and NetBackup).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and Gitbased workflows.


Job Expectations:

  • Provide reliable L2/L3 support for enterprise storage automation services and orchestration workflows
  • Maintain and enhance automation scripts, APIs, and platforms to ensure stability and scalability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation issues impacting service reliability and compliance
  • Build and maintain operational and compliance dashboards using Power BI and automation data sources
  • Support code changes, testing, and deployments following CI/CD and change management standards
  • Collaborate across engineering and platform teams to improve automation maturity and operational efficiency
