Senior Infrastructure Administrator VMware & Windows - Wintel

VMware Administration

• Administer and support VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and related virtualization technologies.
• Perform VMware ESXi host patching, upgrades, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
• Plan and execute VMware migrations, host refreshes, cluster upgrades, and storage migrations.
• Monitor VMware infrastructure performance, capacity, and availability.
• Manage resource allocation, DRS, HA, vMotion, and cluster configurations.
• Troubleshoot VMware-related incidents and performance issues.
• Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes for virtual environments.

Windows Server Administration

• Manage Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022 and above).
• Perform server provisioning, decommissioning, OS upgrades, and maintenance.
• Provide day-to-day BAU support for Windows infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Incidents, Service Requests, and Problem tickets within SLA.
• Manage Windows patch deployment and compliance activities.
• Perform vulnerability remediation and security hardening activities.
• Monitor system performance and implement corrective actions.

Active Directory & Group Policy Management

• Administer Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS).
• Manage user accounts, service accounts, security groups, and delegations.
• Create, modify, and deploy Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
• Perform Active Directory health checks and replication monitoring.
• Manage DNS, DHCP, OU structures, and AD security policies.
• Troubleshoot authentication, kerberos, replication, and GPO-related issues.

Patch & Vulnerability Management

• Execute monthly patching activities across Windows servers and VMware infrastructure.
• Coordinate maintenance windows and change implementations.
• Manage vulnerability remediation through Qualys, Rapid7, Nessus, CrowdStrike, or equivalent tools.
• Track and maintain patch compliance KPIs and security standards.
• Perform risk assessments and provide remediation recommendations.

Incident, Problem & Change Management

• Investigate and resolve infrastructure incidents and operational issues.
• Participate in major incident management and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Raise and implement infrastructure changes following ITIL processes.
• Maintain documentation and evidence for audit and compliance requirements.
• Support Problem Management initiatives to reduce recurring incidents.

Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

• Participate in DR planning, testing, and execution activities.
• Perform disaster recovery failover and failback exercises.
• Validate backup recoverability and infrastructure resilience.
• Maintain DR documentation and recovery procedures.

Monitoring & Automation

• Monitor infrastructure using enterprise monitoring tools.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell to streamline operational tasks.
• Support proactive maintenance and capacity management initiatives.
• Identify continuous improvement and automation opportunities.
