We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior IT Support Engineer / 3rd Line Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering advanced technical support, managing complex IT infrastructure projects, implementing cybersecurity solutions, and acting as a key escalation point for internal teams and external clients.
This role requires strong expertise in Microsoft technologies, cloud infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, virtualization, automation, and client-facing support.
Contract term -12 months, with potential to extend

Work from home/Remote Role
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Support & Infrastructure
- Provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd line IT support to internal users and external clients
- Handle escalations from junior support engineers and service desk teams
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to desktops, servers, networks, cloud platforms, and business applications
- Perform server upgrades, migrations, patching, and maintenance activities
- Build, configure, deploy, and migrate on-premises, hybrid, and cloud infrastructure environments
- Administer Active Directory, Hybrid AD, Exchange, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, and SQL Server environments
- Configure VPN clients and implement site-to-site VPN connectivity
- Manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Citrix VDI, and FSLogix roaming profiles
Cloud & Security
- Implement and manage Microsoft Intune for Windows, Android, and iOS devices
- Configure Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Server environments
- Deploy and manage EDR/XDR solutions such as SentinelOne, Sophos, Panda AD360 AV, etc.
- Configure spam filtering and email security solutions including Mimecast, Darktrace, VIPRE, and Microsoft Defender for Office 365
- Implement DMARC, DKIM, and SPF configurations
- Conduct Microsoft 365 security audits and support Cyber Essentials compliance
- Coordinate penetration testing and liaise with third-party vendors
Networking
- Configure and support firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and network appliances including Fortigate, Cisco, Meraki, Ubiquiti, and Azure networking
- Conduct Wi-Fi site surveys and implement LAN/WAN solutions
- Design and support Azure Landing Zones
Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Manage backup and disaster recovery platforms such as Veeam, Azure Backup & Site Recovery, Rubrik, and KeepIT Cloud Backup
- Ensure backup integrity, disaster recovery readiness, and business continuity
Automation & Documentation
- Develop automation scripts and workflows using PowerShell, Power Apps, Power Automate, Azure Runbooks, Freshservice, and Azure AI Foundry
- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, network diagrams, risk registers, and knowledge base articles
- Support Linux server installations, WordPress hosting, Plesk administration, website maintenance, and web support
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in 3rd Line IT Support or Senior Infrastructure Support roles
- Hands-on expertise with Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, Intune, and Exchange
- Experience with virtualization technologies including Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop
- Strong networking knowledge including firewalls, VPNs, Wi-Fi, and switching
- Experience with cybersecurity tools, EDR/XDR platforms, and security best practices
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation tools
- Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and cloud migration strategies
- Experience supporting Linux servers, WordPress, and Plesk environments
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and client management skills
