About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Informatica MDM & IDQ Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Informatica Multidomain MDM, MDM Hub Console, Informatica Data Quality (IDQ/CDQ), and ActiveVOS.
The ideal candidate should be a strong technical resource who can work directly within the MDM Hub Console, understand business requirements, configure and develop MDM solutions, build and customize match/merge and survivorship logic, and develop ActiveVOS workflows for data stewardship and approval processes.
This is a hands-on development and configuration role requiring deep knowledge of Informatica MDM architecture, MDM Hub configuration, data quality, integration, and workflow development.
Key Responsibilities
Informatica MDM Development & Configuration
- Work extensively with the Informatica MDM Hub Console for configuration, development, testing, and deployment.
- Configure and develop Base Objects, Landing Tables, Staging Tables, Mappings, Packages, Queries, Tokens, Match Rules, Merge Rules, and Trust/Survivorship Rules.
- Design and implement MDM solutions based on business and data governance requirements.
- Configure match and merge strategies, including deterministic and probabilistic matching.
- Configure trust, validation, survivorship, and consolidation rules.
- Develop and maintain Business Entity Services (BES) and associated MDM services.
- Configure and maintain Hub Jobs, batch processes, load jobs, tokenization, and cleanse processes.
- Troubleshoot data processing, matching, merging, and consolidation issues within the MDM Hub.
- Perform MDM configuration changes, enhancements, testing, and production deployments.
ActiveVOS Workflow Development
- Design, develop, configure, and maintain ActiveVOS workflows integrated with Informatica MDM.
- Develop workflows for data stewardship, approvals, exception handling, and business processes.
- Configure ActiveVOS tasks, business processes, rules, notifications, and assignments.
- Integrate ActiveVOS workflows with MDM Hub and Business Entity Services.
- Troubleshoot workflow failures, stuck tasks, integration issues, and process bottlenecks.
- Customize workflows based on changing business and data governance requirements.
Informatica Data Quality (IDQ/CDQ)
- Develop and maintain data quality mappings, transformations, cleansing, standardization, and validation rules.
- Work with profiling, scorecards, reference data, and reusable data quality components.
- Configure and maintain AddressDoctor and address cleansing/standardization processes.
- Identify data quality issues and implement appropriate remediation and cleansing strategies.
- Integrate IDQ capabilities with MDM processes to improve data accuracy and consistency.
Integration & API Development
- Develop and support integrations between Informatica MDM and upstream/downstream applications.
- Work with REST/SOAP APIs, Business Entity Services, web services, and application integrations.
- Configure and troubleshoot MDM data publishing and integration processes.
- Work with ETL/data integration processes for loading and synchronizing master data.
- Troubleshoot integration failures and performance issues across MDM and connected systems.
Production Support & Performance
- Monitor MDM processes, workflows, integrations, and scheduled jobs.
- Analyze and resolve production issues related to MDM Hub, IDQ, and ActiveVOS.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
- Optimize match rules, mappings, queries, batch processes, and workflows for better performance.
- Coordinate with infrastructure, database, application, and vendor teams when required.
- Support deployment, release management, upgrades, patches, and migration activities.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–10 years of overall IT/data management experience, with significant hands-on experience in Informatica MDM.
- Strong hands-on development and configuration experience with Informatica Multidomain MDM / Informatica MDM Hub.
- Must have extensive experience working directly with the MDM Hub Console.
- Strong understanding of MDM configuration, development, match/merge, survivorship, trust, validation, and consolidation.
- Strong hands-on experience with ActiveVOS workflow development and administration.
- Experience developing and maintaining MDM Business Entity Services (BES).
- Strong experience with Informatica Data Quality (IDQ/CDQ).
- Good understanding of Informatica MDM architecture and data model.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or Snowflake.
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and web-service integrations.
- Good understanding of ETL/data integration concepts.
- Experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
- Ability to troubleshoot application, database, integration, and MDM-related issues independently.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be:
- A hands-on Informatica MDM developer/configurator, not purely an administrator.
- Comfortable navigating the MDM Hub Console and independently configuring and developing MDM components.
- Strong in ActiveVOS workflow development and MDM workflow integration.
- Able to understand complex master-data requirements and convert them into technical MDM solutions.
- Strong in troubleshooting, debugging, performance tuning, and production support.
