About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Informatica Cloud Data Governance & Catalog (CDGC) Engineer to implement and support enterprise metadata management, governance, lineage, and catalog solutions within Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience configuring cataloging, governance workflows, metadata ingestion, and data discovery capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, implement, and support Informatica Cloud Data Governance & Catalog (CDGC) capabilities within IDMC
- Set up and manage metadata ingestion, data asset onboarding, profiling, scanning, lineage, and catalog workflows
- Build and maintain business glossaries, data domains, classifications, stewardship models, and governance workflows
- Support integration between Data Catalog and Data Quality solutions to improve enterprise data trust and visibility
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data owners, and technical teams to define governance requirements and ownership structures
- Enable data discovery, metadata enrichment, impact analysis, and lineage visibility across enterprise systems
- Configure governance policies, rule associations, stewardship workflows, and quality score visibility
- Troubleshoot metadata ingestion issues, scanner connectivity challenges, lineage gaps, and catalog performance concerns
- Support testing, deployment, environment management, and production stabilization activities
- Develop technical documentation, configuration guides, governance procedures, and knowledge transfer materials
- Assist in establishing metadata standards and governance best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Catalog, or Enterprise Data Management initiatives
- Hands-on experience with Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC)
- Strong experience with Informatica Cloud Data Governance & Catalog (CDGC)
- Expertise in metadata management, lineage analysis, data cataloging, and governance frameworks
- Experience with metadata scanners, profiling, classifications, and governance workflows
- Strong understanding of data stewardship, data ownership, and governance operating models
- Solid SQL and data analysis skills
- Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder engagement abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating CDGC with Informatica Cloud Data Quality (CDQ)
- Knowledge of enterprise data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance requirements
- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures
- Informatica CDGC or IDMC certifications preferred
