About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Implementation Engineer to lead client onboarding.
This is a senior individual contributor and team leadership role - you will own end-to-end technical
onboarding delivery, write complex SQL scripts and ETL loaders, configure custom allocations and
reports, and ensure every client goes live accurately and on time.
Beyond hands-on delivery, you will mentor junior implementation team members, prepare delivery
plans, assign tasks, and drive structured execution across onboarding projects. You will also interact
directly with clients - Hedge Funds, Private Equity firms, and Family Offices - to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end technical onboarding of new clients.
- Analyse client-specific financial workflows and translate them into precise platform configurations
- Write complex SQL scripts and stored procedures to support custom data and reporting requirements
- Build and maintain custom ETL loaders for data ingestion from client source systems
- Develop and configure custom allocation rules and financial reports per client specifications
- Prepare detailed delivery plans for each onboarding engagement - define milestones, assign
tasks, and track progress
- Mentor and guide junior implementation team members, conducting reviews and knowledge sharing sessions
- Interact directly with clients during onboarding to gather requirements, provide status updates, and resolve queries
- Collaborate with product and development teams to address configuration gaps and platform
edge cases
- Document implementation configurations, data mappings, and client-specific setups thoroughly
- Support post-go-live stabilisation and troubleshoot data or configuration issues promptly
Expense Management Platform
Required Skills and Experience
- 7-10 years of experience in implementation, onboarding, or technical consulting roles
- Expert-level SQL skills - complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning, and data transformation
- Hands-on experience building and managing ETL processes and data loaders
- Strong understanding of relational database concepts and Azure SQL or SQL Server
- Proven ability to prepare delivery plans, assign tasks, and manage onboarding execution
- Experience mentoring junior developers or implementation engineers
- Experience working with configurable or multi-tenant SaaS platforms
- Ability to read and understand .NET Core / C# code for integration and troubleshooting context
- Solid understanding of financial and accounting concepts: allocations, GL, AP, AR, expense workflows
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with confidence in client-facing interactions
- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to data accuracy and detail
