Experience

10+ years of experience in Mechanical (HVAC) Design with proven expertise in commercial / Residential and healthcare projects.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced HVAC Specialist to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in HVAC design and building services engineering, with hands-on experience in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, load calculations, and design software such as TRACE/HAP. Exposure to Plumbing and Fire Protection systems is highly desirable.

Candidates with healthcare project experience will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities

·       Design HVAC systems from concept design through detailed construction documentation with Project Director.

·       Perform cooling and heating load calculations using TRACE, HAP, or equivalent software.

·       Prepare HVAC layouts, duct sizing, equipment selection, ventilation calculations, and pressurization studies.

·       Coordinate HVAC systems with Plumbing, Fire Protection, Architectural, Structural, and Electrical disciplines.

·       Develop and maintain BIM models using Revit MEP for projects from LOD 100 through LOD 350.

·       Produce coordinated construction drawings and ensure clash-free models using Navisworks/BIM workflows.

·       Review technical specifications, equipment schedules, and design calculations.

·       Participate in design coordination meeting with clients.

·       Respond to RFIs and design queries.

·    Assist in value engineering and optimization of mechanical systems while maintaining code compliance.

·    Ensure designs comply with applicable local codes, ASHRAE standards, NFPA requirements, and project specifications.

Required Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent.

·       Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in HVAC design.

·    Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including chilled water, DX systems, ventilation, and exhaust systems.

Proficiency in:

·      Revit MEP

·      AutoCAD / CAD 3D

·      TRACE/HAP or equivalent HVAC load calculation software

·      Blue Beam

·      Equipment Selection Software

·      Ellite

·      Navis

·       Experience in developing BIM models from LOD 100 to LOD 350.

·       Good understanding of coordination workflows and clash detection.

·       Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Experience in Plumbing and Fire Fighting/Fire Protection design.

·       Experience working on Healthcare/Hospital projects following international standards.

·       Familiarity with ASHRAE, FGI, FBC, NFPA, IPC/UPC, and relevant building codes.

·       Knowledge of BIM 360, Navisworks, Bluebeam, or similar coordination tools.

·       Experience working with overseas clients, particularly U.S. projects.
