Job Summary
Purple United Sales Limited is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Manager =-HR with a strong background in the Retail Industry. The role will be responsible for managing end-to-end HR operations, ensuring statutory compliance, supporting retail workforce management, and driving effective people practices aligned with business objectives in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Compliance & Statutory Management
Ensure compliance with Shop & Establishment Act, labour laws, and all Retail IndustryRelated Statutory Requirements
Manage PF, ESIC, Gratuity, Bonus, Minimum Wages, and other statutory compliances
Maintain statutory registers, records, and audit documentation
Ensure timely filings, renewals, inspections, and compliance reporting
2. HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Management
Maintain employee master data, HR files, and HRMIS records
Handle attendance, leave management, payroll inputs, and final settlements
Manage exit formalities, clearance, and documentation
3. Employee Relations & Grievance Handlin
Act as a primary point of contact for employee concerns and queries
Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, and policy-related issues
Promote a positive work culture and ensure fair HR practices
4. Performance & Policy Administration
Support performance appraisal cycles and review processes
Implement, communicate, and update HR policies and SOPs
Ensure consistent application of HR policies across locations
5. Retail HR Support
Address store-level HR issues and employee concerns
Support attrition control, engagement initiatives, and workforce productivity
Coordinate closely with store managers and regional teams for HR execution
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's / Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum 5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist in the Retail / Fashion Retail industry (Mandatory)
Strong working knowledge of Retail HR operations and Statutory Compliances
Hands-on experience in employee relations, payroll coordination, and compliance
Ability to manage multi-location retail workforce
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of labour laws and retail compliance frameworks
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced retail environment.
