Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior HR Manager to join our team in New Delhi. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes, ensuring the effective implementation of HR strategies that support the business objectives of Octagona India and its clients. The incumbent will also be responsible for growing the revenue of the HR vertical of the Company as per the laid down targets through business development efforts. This role calls for a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a solid background in HR management & consulting.

Key Responsibilities

Internal HR Management

• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company's overall business objectives.

• Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection to attract and retain top talent across functions.

• Engage in new client acquisition or up selling (existing clients with new services) to meet the revenue goals of the Team.

• Oversee and administer performance management processes, ensuring fair evaluations and alignment with business goals.

• Ensure compliance with Indian labour laws, social security regulations (PF, ESI, Gratuity), and statutory filings.

• Drive employee engagement initiatives to maintain a positive work culture and proactively address employee relations issues.

• Implement training and development programmes to strengthen employee skills and leadership capabilities.

• Ensure workplace health and safety, POSH compliance, and overall employee welfare.

• Track and report HR metrics to management, providing data-driven insights for decision-making.

Client HR Advisory & Consulting

• Partner with client companies to provide HR consulting on recruitment, compliance, and HR policies.

• Assist in preparing employee handbooks, contracts, and HR frameworks for clients in line with Indian labour regulations.

• Conduct POSH awareness sessions, grievance handling, and compliance audits on behalf of client companies.

• Support clients with vendor and employee due diligence, payroll structuring, and HR process alignment.

• Represent Octagona India as the primary HR point of contact for international clients, ensuring seamless communication and local regulatory support.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA in HR preferred.

• 10-15 years of HR experience, including 7+ years in a senior managerial role with exposure to client-facing HR/consulting.

• Prior experience of Business Development, New Client Acquisition and Key Account Management.

• Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws, statutory compliances, and HR best practices.

• Hands-on experience with Keka HRMS (or any other HRMS) and proficiency in MS Office Suite.

• Practical knowledge and implementation experience of the POSH Act, 2013.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.

• Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities, balance organisational needs with client deliverables, and thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment.
