Role Objective
Own and run the entire HR function end-to-end with a strong focus on hiring, operational excellence, and process discipline. This is a hands-on role where you will be expected to drive outcomes independently and ensure consistency across all people-related processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition
- Drive end-to-end hiring across tech, design, QA, and other business roles
- Actively source candidates via LinkedIn, referrals, and direct outreach (not just job portals)
- Screen candidates for role and team fit
- Own hiring outcomes: time-to-hire, quality of hire, and offer-to-join ratio
- Personally close candidates through effective evaluation, positioning, and compensation negotiation
- Build strong pipelines for current and future hiring needs
2. HR Operations & Compliance
- Conduct onboarding with induction sessions to help new joiners understand company policies, culture, teams, tools, and expectations.
- Own and ensure accurate, timely payroll processing
- Manage attendance, leave systems, and HRMS (Keka)
- Maintain employee records, appointment letters, contracts, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws (PF, ESIC, Gratuity, Shops & Establishment, etc.)
- Coordinate statutory filings and audits where required
3. Process Discipline & Structure Support
- Support founders in implementing KRAs across teams
- Track and ensure basic performance check-ins are conducted
- Bring consistency to increment and compensation processes
- Ensure policies are followed and not bypassed
4. Employee Lifecycle Management
- Manage onboarding, induction, and employee documentation
- Handle exits, final settlements, and offboarding processes
- Act as a reliable point of contact for employee queries and concerns
5. Work Environment & Team Support
- Ensure a structured, fair, and well-functioning work environment
- Address employee issues with clarity and consistency
- Support team leads in managing people-related challenges
- Plan and organize employee engagement activities and culture-building initiatives
What We're Looking For
- 7–10 years of HR experience in a fast-paced company (startup/tech/gaming preferred)
- Strong hiring capability with proven experience in independently closing roles
- Solid understanding of payroll, compliance, and HR operations
- High ownership mindset with ability to execute without constant direction
- Strong judgment and ability to balance people needs with business priorities
- Hands-on experience with HRMS tools (Keka)
Qualifications
MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent qualification preferred.
