Job Description

Role Purpose:

This role is responsible for managing end-to-end Regional HR and HR Generalist responsibilities for the Goa office. The role will act as the primary HR touchpoint for employees and people leaders at the location, ensuring smooth HR operations, employee lifecycle support, statutory and internal compliance, audit readiness, employee relations, and effective stakeholder management. The position will partner closely with business leaders, central HR teams, facilities, finance, IT, and external partners to deliver a consistent, compliant, and employee-focused HR experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Location HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle

  • Manage day-to-day HR operations for the Goa office, ensuring timely and accurate support across the employee lifecycle.
  • Coordinate onboarding, joining formalities, employee documentation, HRIS updates, transfers, confirmations, employee changes, exits, and full-and-final inputs in partnership with relevant teams.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR processes are completed within defined timelines, controls, and service expectations.
  • Support implementation of HR policies, SOPs, Workday processes, and regional HR governance requirements at the location.

People Relations, Employee Connect & Engagement

  • Act as the local HR point of contact for employees and managers, addressing employee queries, workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and people-related matters with responsiveness and confidentiality.
  • Strengthen employee connect through regular touchpoints, listening forums, floor walks, manager connects, and timely closure of employee concerns.
  • Support employee relations cases, grievance handling, disciplinary documentation, performance-related interventions, and sensitive employee matters in alignment with company policy and applicable law.
  • Plan and execute employee engagement, festive celebrations, sports, inclusion, wellness, and employee experience initiatives suitable for the Goa workforce.
  • Capture employee sentiment, identify recurring issues, and recommend practical actions to improve employee experience, retention, and workplace belonging.

Legal, Compliance & Policy Governance

  • Ensure location-level compliance with applicable employment laws, company policies, statutory requirements, and internal governance standards.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation for onboarding, employee records, statutory forms, background verification, benefits, attendance, leave, exits, and other HR processes.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, provide required HR inputs, track findings, and ensure timely closure of observations and corrective actions.
  • Monitor compliance calendars, employee documentation status, policy acknowledgements, statutory submissions, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively flag compliance, documentation, employee relations, or process risks and work with stakeholders to drive timely resolution.

Stakeholder Management & Operational Governance

  • Partner with people leaders, managers, employees, central HR, payroll, facilities, finance, IT, and external vendors to ensure smooth delivery of location HR services.
  • Provide timely HR updates, insights, and issue escalations to regional HR leadership and relevant stakeholders.
  • Drive adherence to HR processes, governance rhythms, dashboards, trackers, and reporting requirements for the Goa location.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify HR operations, reduce manual follow-ups, improve turnaround time, and strengthen employee service delivery.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives, leadership visits, employee communications, and local implementation of regional or India HR priorities.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

  • MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent qualification.
  • 6–10 years of relevant experience in HR Generalist, Regional HR, HR Operations, People Relations, or Employee Experience roles.
  • Strong understanding of employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, documentation, HRIS updates, employee changes, engagement, grievance handling, exits, and audit support.
  • Working knowledge of Indian employment practices, statutory compliance, HR audits, documentation requirements, and policy governance.
  • Ability to independently manage location HR operations while partnering effectively with regional and central HR teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management, employee connect, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • High degree of ownership, confidentiality, responsiveness, and judgement in handling sensitive people matters.
  • Good process orientation with the ability to maintain trackers, dashboards, audit records, and compliance documentation.
  • Comfortable working with HR systems, data, reports, and Microsoft Office tools; Workday exposure will be an added advantage.
