Senior Human Resources Executive - Job Profile
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior HR Executive specializing in Industrial Relations to join our dynamic HR team. This role requires a strong focus on managing employee relations, addressing complaints, and ensuring compliance with labour laws. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in HR, particularly in the telecom, infrastructure, civil, or electrical sectors, with a proven ability to foster a positive workplace environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations Management:
- Address and resolve employee grievances and disputes to maintain a harmonious workplace.
- Act as a point of contact for employee concerns, facilitating effective communication and conflict resolution.
- Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including maintenance of essential labour records (CESS, LWF contributions, wage registers).
- Oversee compliance with Professional Tax (PT), wage slip distribution, and accurate payment of wages and bonuses.
- Manage Over Time Register and ensure compliance with Inter-State Migrant Workmen regulations.
- Prepare and submit the Labour Annual Return and oversee License Registration/Renewal processes.
- Documentation and Record Maintaining:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to employee relations and compliance activities.
- Ensure that all necessary compliance documentation is managed and maintained effectively.
- Training and Development:
- Identify training needs related to IR and employee relations.
- Collaborate with management to design and implement relevant training programs.
- Policy Development:
- Contribute to the development of HR policies and procedures that support employee engagement and compliance with labour laws.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with management and other departments to ensure alignment on HR initiatives and compliance efforts.
- Industrial Relations (IR) Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations Management: Address employee grievances and disputes to maintain a harmonious workplace environment.
- Statutory Compliance: Oversee the adherence to statutory requirements, including:
- Maintenance of essential labour records such as CESS, LWF contributions, and wage registers (Forms A, B, C, D).
- Compliance with the Professional Tax (PT), wage slip distribution, and accurate and timely payment of wages and bonuses.
- Management of the Over Time Register and compliance with the Inter-State Migrant Workmen regulations.
- Submission of the Labour Annual Return and management of License Registration/Renewal.
Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:
- Leadership: Proven leadership skills to guide and inspire the HR team and the ability to influence and collaborate with senior management.
- Strategic Thinking: A self-starter with a strategic mindset to align HR practices with organizational goals and should have a strategic approach to HR planning and implementation.
- Communication: Excellent business communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to articulate HR strategies and policies effectively.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office skills (Word, Excel and PPT), experience in using any HR Systems would be an added advantage
- Domain: 5+ years experience in Human Resources (HR) Teams. Experience working in the HR department in Telecom-infra sector, Civil, Electrical, Industry is desirable but not mandatory.
- Qualification: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources
