Job Description

Job Title: Senior HR Accountant

Location: Ambattur, Chennai

Position Type: Full Time

Work Mode: Onsite

Interview Mode: Face to Face

Experience: 4 10 Years Required

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee day-to-day HR accounting and payroll-related financial activities.
  • Handle salary processing, payroll reconciliation, and disbursement ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory norms.
  • Manage statutory compliance filings including PF, ESI, TDS, and Professional Tax (PT).
  • Prepare and maintain employee compensation records, incentives, and reimbursement statements.
  • Coordinate with HR for employee onboarding, exits, and full & final settlements.
  • Ensure timely filing and remittance of payroll taxes and other statutory contributions.
  • Support in preparation of monthly payroll reports, financial summaries, and audit documentation.
  • Reconcile HR and finance data to ensure consistency in employee cost reporting.
  • Collaborate with auditors during statutory and internal audits.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and company financial information at all times.

Requirements

  • Graduate in B.Com or M.Com (MBA in HR/Finance preferred).
  • 46 years of experience in HR accounting or payroll management.
  • Strong understanding of payroll accounting, statutory compliance (PF, ESI, TDS, PT), and HR processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with payroll/accounting software (Tally, Zoho Payroll, QuickBooks, etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to coordinate between HR and Finance teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage sensitive information with discretion.
