We are looking for a Senior Healthcare QA Engineer (7 to 12+ Years) with expertise in CMS workflows, interoperability testing, FHIR, HL7, and API validation. The ideal candidate should have experience in healthcare integrations, end-to-end clinical workflows, and backend validation. Automation is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform end-to-end testing of healthcare interoperability workflows across CMS, EHR/EMR, payer/provider, and downstream systems
- Validate FHIR-based APIs, healthcare integrations, and interoperability workflows
- Work extensively on HL7 message validation and understand complete healthcare data flow from patient registration to downstream systems such as Lab, Billing, Claims, and Insurance
- Validate FHIR resources such as Patient, Encounter, Observation, Condition, Claim, Coverage, Medication, Procedure, and related workflows
- Design and define comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and testing methodologies for healthcare applications
- Perform API testing, backend validation, integration testing, and end-to-end reconciliation testing
- Analyze healthcare data flow between UI, APIs, interfaces, and databases
- Perform SQL/backend validation for healthcare transactions and clinical workflows
- Work closely with business, interoperability, and development teams to troubleshoot production and integration issues
- Participate in defect triage, root cause analysis, and production support activities
- Ensure healthcare compliance, data quality, and interoperability standards are met
- Automation framework knowledge and API automation experience are good to have
Mandatory Skills:
- Must have at least 7+ years to 12+ years of experience in Manual/Automation testing in Healthcare Domain.
- Strong understanding of CMS workflows and healthcare interoperability
- Hands-on experience in FHIR and API testing
- Strong knowledge of FHIR resources and interoperability workflows
- Strong HL7 v2.x knowledge (ADT, ORM, ORU, SIU, etc.)
- Strong understanding of end-to-end healthcare data flow and downstream integrations
- Strong experience in Integration Testing and End-to-End Testing
- Strong SQL and backend data validation skills
- Experience in defining test strategy, testing methodologies, and QA processes
- Experience in healthcare production support and debugging
Good to Have:
- Automation testing experience (API/UI)
- Python or Java-based automation
- Experience with Postman, SOAP UI, Mirth, or interface engines
- Knowledge of CCDA and healthcare cloud platforms
Preferred Skills:
- Strong analytical and debugging skills
- Good stakeholder communication
- Ability to work independently and lead testing initiatives
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
