About the Role:

We are looking for a hands-on and execution-focused professional to drive the implementation and maintenance of Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) standards across Statiq's offices, facilities, and operational locations. The role will work closely with multiple business units and stakeholders to ensure HSSE policies, processes, statutory requirements, and safety practices are consistently implemented on the ground. You will be responsible for identifying potential risks and compliance gaps, conducting inspections and assessments, driving corrective and preventive actions, supporting incident investigations, and strengthening safety awareness across teams. The ideal candidate should bring strong field-level HSSE experience, sound knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements, and the ability to work effectively with employees, contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams to build a proactive and responsible safety culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implement Statiq's HSSE policies, standards, processes, and guidelines across relevant offices, facilities, operational locations, and business units.
• Ensure HSSE requirements are understood and consistently followed by employees, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct regular site inspections, workplace safety assessments, and risk assessments to identify unsafe conditions, practices, and potential hazards.
• Track identified HSSE gaps and drive timely closure of corrective and preventive actions in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
• Drive workplace health and safety practices across offices, facilities, warehouses, and other applicable operational locations.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions to strengthen safety compliance and behaviour.
• Ensure appropriate PPE, safety signage, emergency equipment, and other required safety controls are available, maintained, and used appropriately.
• Support emergency preparedness and response initiatives, including fire safety procedures, evacuation drills, and emergency response plans.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, conduct root-cause analysis, and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
• Maintain accurate records and reports related to incidents, inspections, risk assessments, audits, and compliance activities.
• Support implementation of applicable environmental requirements, including waste management, disposal practices, resource usage, and environmental controls.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and external agencies to ensure compliance with applicable environmental and HSSE requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements related to Health, Safety, Security & Environment.
• Maintain and periodically review HSSE documentation, registers, checklists, inspection reports, certifications, and compliance records.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies/consultants for statutory inspections, certifications, audits, renewals, and other compliance activities.
• Act as the primary HSSE point of contact for assigned locations and work closely with Admin, Facilities, Operations, Manufacturing, HR, Security, Procurement, and other relevant teams.
• Engage with contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure adherence to Statiq's HSSE requirements and safe working practices.
• Conduct HSSE training and awareness programmes for employees, contractors, vendors, and relevant stakeholders.
• Organise and support emergency drills, fire safety training, first-aid awareness, toolbox talks, and other safety programmes.
• Prepare periodic HSSE dashboards and management reports covering inspections, incidents, compliance status, open actions, and key risks.
• Monitor HSSE trends, identify recurring issues, and recommend improvements to existing processes and controls.
• Escalate critical HSSE risks to relevant stakeholders and management and ensure appropriate actions are driven to closure.
• Support organisation-wide HSSE initiatives and continuous improvement programmes to strengthen the overall safety culture.
• Work towards securing ISO 45001 certification for the organization by supporting the development, implementation, documentation, and continuous improvement of the Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS) and coordinating readiness for certification audits.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

• 4–5 years of relevant experience in HSSE, HSE, EHS, Occupational Health & Safety, or a similar role, preferably within a multi-location or operational environment.
• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Safety, Industrial Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant certifications in Occupational Health & Safety, Fire & Safety, Environment, or related areas will be preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 requirements and prior exposure to ISO 45001 implementation, certification, or audit processes will be an added advantage.
• Strong hands-on experience implementing HSSE frameworks, policies, processes, and controls at the ground level.
• Experience conducting safety inspections, risk assessments, audits, incident investigations, and compliance reviews.
• Good understanding of workplace safety, fire safety, emergency preparedness, environmental practices, and risk mitigation.
• Working knowledge of applicable statutory and regulatory requirements related to HSSE.
• Experience managing contractors, vendors, and service providers from an HSSE perspective.
• Strong understanding of incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action management.
• Ability to identify risks and compliance gaps, take ownership, and drive issues through to closure.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to work across different business units and operational teams.
• Strong documentation, reporting, analytical, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to conduct safety training, toolbox talks, awareness programmes, and emergency preparedness initiatives.
• Strong execution and problem-solving capabilities with high attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel to Statiq's offices, facilities, and operational sites as required.
