Summary

We are building a spatial-mapping device that powers an AI-driven design platform. This role owns the entire physical device (sensors, compute, power, PCB, and system reliability). You will architect and deliver a production-grade embedded system that works reliably in real-world indoor environments.

Key Responsibilities

Architected and owned the complete hardware system for a handheld 3D room-mapping device, covering sensors, compute, power, PCB, and system reliability

Selected, integrated, and synchronized RGB, depth, LiDAR, IMU, and IR/ToF sensors for real-time spatial data acquisition

Designed multi-rail power supplies and battery management systems with focus on efficiency, thermal stability, and EMI/EMC compliance

Brought up embedded Linux platforms on Jetson and Raspberry Pi, including board initialization and peripheral interfacing

Developed and integrated low-level firmware and sensor drivers in C/C++

Implemented device boot sequencing, health monitoring, watchdogs, and firmware update mechanisms

Ensured deterministic, low-latency sensor data delivery to SLAM and spatial intelligence pipelines

Designed schematics and multi-layer PCBs; executed high-speed routing for USB and camera interfaces

Generated manufacturing deliverables including BOM, Gerbers, pick-and-place files, and test fixtures

Collaborated with manufacturers to support prototyping, validation, and production scaling

Debugged complex hardware and system-level issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power analysis tools

Conducted thermal, vibration, power integrity, and field reliability testing with root-cause failure analysis

Optimized hardware designs for cost, manufacturability, and long-term reliability

Supported certification and compliance activities (CE, FCC, BIS)

Led transition from prototype to production-ready hardware
