Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Design Engineer to join our core team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and testing of new products, as well as the continuous improvement of existing EV charging solutions. You will be responsible for developing hardware products from concept to mass production. This includes delivering high-quality schematics, layouts, simulations, design calculations, and validation for power electronics hardware such as EV chargers, DC-DC converters, motor controllers, and related systems.

Education & Experience

  • Required Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a closely related technical field.
  • Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 to 5+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience in hardware development specifically within Power Electronics.
  • Product Track Record: Must have successfully taken at least one high-power converter product from conceptual design/schematics through to physical prototyping and lab testing.
  • EV Charger Design: Direct, hands-on experience designing power converters specifically for EV systems (such as onboard/offboard chargers, high-power DC-DC converters, or traction inverters).
  • Power Capacity: Direct experience designing hardware operating in the 1.5 kW to 6 kW power range. 3. Custom Magnetics: Hands-on experience designing custom high-frequency magnetics, including high-frequency transformers and inductors (core selection, winding structure, loss estimation).
  • Power Semiconductor Switch Design: Strong practical understanding of designing with high-voltage MOSFETs (experience with GaN FETs is a plus), gate drivers, and their associated snubber/protection circuits.
  • Experience with EMI/ EMC complaint systems is a plus
  • PCB Design (ECAD): Advanced proficiency in professional ECAD tools—specifically Altium Designer—for multi-layer, high-power, and noise-sensitive PCB layouts.
  • High-Power Lab Debugging: Hands-on experience working safely in high-power lab environments doing physical prototype bring-up, hardware debugging, and testing using oscilloscopes, electronic loads, and power analyzers.
