Senior Hardware Design Engineer Embedded Systems & High-Speed Board Design

  • Location: Hyderabad
  • Work Mode: Onsite
  • Experience Range: 5 8 Years

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Hardware Design Engineer with strong expertise in embedded system design, high-speed digital interfaces, and mixed-signal board development. The role involves end-to-end hardware development including architecture definition, schematic design, component selection, PCB coordination, board bring-up, and validation.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with x86 embedded platforms, high-speed interfaces, SI/PI considerations, and hardware debugging using standard lab equipment. Exposure to FPGA-based systems will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand product requirements and define hardware architecture for embedded systems
  • Design schematics for digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics circuits
  • Develop detailed hardware design specifications and engineering documentation
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams during requirement analysis and design reviews
  • Perform component selection and interact with vendors for technical evaluation and qualification
  • Design and integrate interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, RS232, PCIe, DDRx, USB, Ethernet, and MIPI
  • Coordinate with PCB layout teams for placement optimization considering SI/PI and mechanical constraints
  • Support PCB fabrication, assembly, board bring-up, debugging, and functional validation
  • Conduct hardware testing using oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analyzers, and debugger tools
  • Analyze and resolve hardware design issues related to signal integrity, power integrity, and high-speed interfaces
  • Participate in prototype validation, system integration, and engineering change implementation
  • Support complete hardware development lifecycle from concept to production release

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in embedded hardware/system design
  • Experience working with x86 embedded microprocessor platforms
  • Strong understanding of mixed-signal and high-speed board design fundamentals
  • Hands-on experience in hardware debugging and board validation
  • Experience with complete product development lifecycle including design, fabrication, bring-up, and testing
