Role Overview

We are looking for a senior hands-on AI / Python Engineering Lead to design and build enterprise-grade AI solutions, intelligent applications and backend platforms. The role requires strong Python and software engineering fundamentals, practical cloud engineering experience, and hands-on experience building solutions using Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, agents or related AI technologies. This person will provide technical leadership while remaining actively involved in architecture, design and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of AI-enabled enterprise solutions.

• Build production-grade Python services and APIs.

• Design GenAI, RAG and agent-based applications.

• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise applications, databases and APIs.

• Design orchestration and tool-integration patterns.

• Architect and deploy AI solutions on Azure, AWS or GCP.

• Work with cloud-native AI, compute, storage, search and integration services.

• Lead architecture and engineering decisions for AI solutions.

• Conduct code and design reviews and mentor AI/Python engineers.

• Establish reusable AI engineering patterns.

• Build rapid prototypes and proof-of-concepts and convert successful prototypes into scalable production solutions.

• Implement evaluation, monitoring and observability for AI applications.

• Participate in customer discovery and technical workshops.

• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend practical adoption approaches.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on Python development.

• REST APIs and backend engineering using FastAPI, Flask or equivalent frameworks.

• Microservices architecture and SQL/NoSQL databases.

• Strong software engineering fundamentals.

• Strong practical experience with Azure, AWS or GCP.

• Experience deploying applications in cloud environments and familiarity with cloud identity, compute, storage, networking and observability.

• Docker and containerized deployments.

• CI/CD, logging, monitoring and observability.

• Strong architecture and integration experience.

• Recent hands-on coding experience.

Preferred / Additional Exposure

• Large Language Models and Generative AI.

• Prompt engineering and Retrieval-Augmented Generation.

• Vector databases and embeddings.

• AI agents, tool/function calling and LLM orchestration.

• LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel or equivalent.

• Azure OpenAI / Azure AI, AWS Bedrock or Google Vertex AI.

• AI evaluation and observability.

• MCP or similar emerging agent/tool integration patterns.

Additional Note
