ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior GTM & Digital Analytics Specialist who is an expert in Google Tag Manager and brings a genuine understanding of digital marketing strategy and customer behaviour. You will own tracking architecture across client accounts, lead GTM implementations end-to-end, and serve as the analytical bridge between our marketing and data teams. This is not a support role — we need someone who thinks like a marketer, speaks the language of data, and executes with precision.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

Candidates who do not meet all three criteria will not be considered, regardless of overall experience.

●Expert-level, hands-on mastery of Google Tag Manager — advanced tags, trigger logic, custom variables, data layer architecture, and debugging

●Mandatory prior experience working within a digital marketing team or agency environment

●Deep understanding of marketing nuances — funnels, customer journeys, campaign measurement, and how tracking supports real business outcomes

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•Architect, implement, and govern GTM containers across multiple client accounts — complex triggers, custom variables, regex logic, and data layer design

•Lead GA4 implementations: event taxonomy, conversion tracking, audience building, and cross-domain measurement

•Translate marketing campaign objectives into precise tracking requirements and measurement frameworks

•Collaborate closely with the digital marketing team to understand campaign goals and ensure data reflects true customer behaviour

•Audit and QA tracking setups using Chrome DevTools, Tag Assistant, and DebugView; proactively identify data gaps and fix discrepancies

•Build and own Looker Studio dashboards that surface actionable, marketing-relevant insights for internal and client teams

•Write SQL queries for segmentation, funnel analysis, and custom reporting; work with BigQuery where applicable

•Contribute to A/B testing design and CRO analysis; interpret results in the context of broader marketing strategy

•Document tracking plans, tagging specs, and data dictionaries; mentor junior analysts

REQUIREMENTS

•3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in digital analytics, with at least 2 years in a digital marketing team or agency

•Expert GTM skills: trigger conditions, tag sequencing, custom JavaScript variables, regex, data layer pushes, and version management

•Strong GA4 knowledge including event schema design, custom dimensions/metrics, and attribution modelling

•Solid JavaScript skills for custom tag scripting, data layer manipulation, and advanced debugging

•Proficient SQL skills; hands-on BigQuery experience is a strong advantage

•Experience with Looker Studio or equivalent BI/reporting tools

•Deep familiarity with digital marketing channels — paid search, paid social, SEO, email — and how they influence tracking requirements

•Strong grasp of customer journey mapping and the ability to translate marketing intent into measurable tracking events

•Excellent communication skills — able to present tracking plans and data insights clearly to marketing stakeholders

•Python knowledge for data automation or processing is a plus
