Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Growth Manager - Customer Retention who will own repeat usage, engagement, and long-term user value on Kuku FM.
This role is for someone who loves numbers, experiments, and user behavior, and can turn insights into action.
You will work closely with Product, Content, Marketing, Tech, and Data teams.
Key Responsibilities
- User Retention & Engagement
- Own DAU, WAU, MAU retention metrics
- Improve Day 1, Day 7, Day 30 retention
- Increase listening frequency and session depth
- Identify drop-off points and fix them
- Lifecycle & CRM
- Design and run user lifecycle journeys
- Own push notifications, in-app messages, email, and WhatsApp
- Segment users based on behavior, language, genre, and spend
- Personalize communication at scale
- Experiments & Growth Loops
- Plan and run A/B experiments regularly
- Test features, nudges, pricing hooks, and content triggers
- Build repeatable growth loops with Product & Content teams
- Document learnings and scale winners
- Data & Insights
- Track and analyze metrics like:
- Retention cohorts
- Churn
- LTV
- Reactivation rates
- Work with dashboards (Superset / Google Analytics / internal tools)
- Convert data into clear action plans
- Cross-Functional Ownership
- Work closely with:
- Product on feature improvements
- Content on stickier formats
- Marketing on retention campaigns
- Tech on experimentation and tracking
- Act as the single owner for retention outcomes
What We're Looking For
Must Have
- 58 years of experience in Growth / Retention / CRM
- Experience in consumer internet / media / content / subscription apps
- Strong understanding of user behavior and funnels
- Hands-on experience with experiments and cohort analysis
- Comfortable with data and dashboards (no fear of numbers)
Good to Have
- Experience in audio, OTT, or subscription businesses
- Exposure to regional language users
- Understanding of pricing, trials, and paywall optimization
- Experience scaling retention for large user bases
