Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Graphic Designer who will lead and execute end-to-end design and brand strategy across Rostrum's marketing and growth initiatives. This is a strategy-led role that combines creative direction, people leadership, and occasional hands-on work, including direct collaboration with leadership. The Senior Graphic Designer will play a pivotal role in shaping and evolving Rostrum's visual identity.
The role will oversee and mentor a small in-house design team, while working closely with marketing, growth, and senior leadership. Success in this role requires strong strategic judgment, refined creative taste, and the ability to translate business objectives into cohesive visual content that supports Rostrum's long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Brand Ownership: Take ownership of Rostrum's visual brand and ensure it is applied consistently across all marketing and related materials to support clear communication and overall business goals
- Design Systems: Create and maintain shared design systems, including templates and usage guidelines. Set clear review processes to ensure quality, consistency, and accessibility across teams
- Marketing & User Experience: Apply product design thinking to marketing and brand materials to create a consistent experience across user journeys and student-facing content. Work closely with the marketing team to design clear, effective, and user-focused visual content
- Creative Direction & Delivery: Translate business and marketing needs into clear creative direction. Define workflows, timelines, and feedback processes to ensure reliable, high-quality design delivery
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor in-house designers (Video and Visual/Graphic). Set expectations, review standards and development goals, and provide senior-level feedback and approvals
- Design Execution: Oversee all design output, including brand materials, marketing assets, student communications, presentations, and sales materials. Step in to design directly on high-priority work when needed
- Paid Media & Ad Design: Design and deliver performance-driven ad creatives for Meta and LinkedIn platforms, aligned with campaign goals and brand guidelines
Key Skills
- Team leadership, mentoring, and quality review
- Clear visual communication and storytelling
- Strong experience designing user interfaces and user journeys
- Advanced use of Figma for design systems.
- Proficiency in Adobe tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Working knowledge of motion design and video basics
- Hands-on experience in UI and UX design, including user journeys and interfaces.
- Proven knowledge of designing performance ads for Meta and LinkedIn platforms.
Education and Experience
- Demonstrated experience collaborating closely with marketing and growth teams
- Formal design education from NIFT, NID or other top institutions
- Prior experience within education, premium services, or consumer-focused brands is advantageous
