About the Role
Nitro Commerce is seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Senior Graphic Designer to lead visual communication across brand, marketing, and product functions. This role is fundamentally leadership-oriented, requiring the ability to define creative direction, establish scalable design systems, and influence business outcomes through high-quality visual storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Leadership and Strategy
- Define and govern the overall visual direction and brand identity across all channels
- Translate business, marketing, and product objectives into cohesive and effective creative strategies
- Serve as the primary design authority, ensuring alignment between creative output and organizational goals
- Drive continuous innovation by integrating emerging design practices, tools, and technologies
Team Leadership and Development
- Provide mentorship and professional guidance to designers, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
- Establish and refine design processes, workflows, and quality standards to ensure consistent delivery
- Conduct regular design reviews and provide constructive, actionable feedback
Stakeholder Engagement and Executive Communication
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership, marketing, and product teams to support strategic initiatives
- Design and deliver executive-level materials, including business reviews, presentations, and strategic proposals
- Influence cross-functional stakeholders through clear, effective, and data-informed visual communication
Design Oversight and Execution
- Oversee the end-to-end design of marketing campaigns, digital assets, and brand materials
- Ensure adherence to brand guidelines while maintaining a high standard of creativity and innovation
- Balance quality and speed, enabling efficient delivery in a performance-driven environment
Systems and Operational Excellence
- Develop and maintain scalable design systems, templates, and standardized assets
- Enhance internal communication through structured and visually consistent reporting and presentation frameworks
- Optimize design operations to support organizational growth and efficiency
Performance and Growth Orientation
- Lead the development of conversion-focused creatives for paid marketing and growth initiatives
- Utilize data and performance insights to refine design strategies and improve outcomes
- Partner with growth teams to test, evaluate, and scale effective creative solutions
Requirements
- 4–7+ years of professional experience in graphic design, with demonstrated leadership responsibilities
- Strong portfolio reflecting strategic thinking, branding expertise, and performance-driven design work
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Experience in performance marketing and digital growth environments is preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of digital platforms, including social media and paid channels
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, or equivalent professional experience
- Advanced proficiency in design and presentation tools (including Adobe Suite and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems through thoughtful and innovative design solutions
- Proven capacity to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
