Job Designation: Design Lead
About the Role
Seeking an exceptionally talented and intellectually strong Design Lead who can build, lead, and inspire our in-house design team. This is a high-impact role for someone who understands how fast-growing D2C brands operate and can translate brand narratives into
powerful visual identities.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Identity & Visual Language Development
- Create and maintain the entire brand themeincluding logo, color palette, typography, patterns, UI/UX style, and creative language.
- Translate abstract brand narratives into compelling visual identities that resonate with consumers. Build design systems and guidelines to keep all creatives aligned and consistent.
Creative Design & Execution
- Social media creative, Video design & motion graphics, AI-generated creative, Packaging design (boxes, covers, sleeves, labels), Marketing collaterals (brochures, flyers, banners, posters), Website design and . landing pages, Brand showreels and visual storytelling content
- Ensure high-quality, on-brand designs for all marketing, product, and communication needs.
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of graphic designers, motion artists, illustrators, and design interns.
- Hire top talent and build a high-performance creative team.
- Review creative output and ensure timely, creative, and error-free delivery.
- Train the team on brand guidelines, visual storytelling, and new design trends.
Strategy & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with founders, marketing, product, production, and script teams to convert
- Understand campaign objectives and bring creative vision to life across mediums.
- Maintain a design pipeline and ensure smooth workflow management.
Innovation & Creative Intelligence
- Stay updated with design trends, AI tools, UI/UX evolution, D2C brand aesthetics, and global visual standards.
- Use AI-based tools for speed, creativity, and experimentation.
- Create designs that not only look good but also communicate with clarity and convert effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 510+ years of design experience, preferably with leading D2C brands or creative agencies.
- Graduation from a reputed design school (NID, NIFT, IDC, Srishti, Pearl, MIT-ID, etc.).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating brand identity creation, packaging design, digital creatives, and storytelling capability.
- Proficiency in design tools: Adobe Suite, Figma, and modern AI-based design tools.
- Deep understanding of brand psychology, consumer behavior, and design communication.
- Proven experience building and managing design teams.
- Ability to convert briefs, strategies, and documents into compelling visual narratives.
- Excellent aesthetic sense and a passion for building memorable brands.
