Job Description

Job Title: Senior GM / AVP – Infrastructure

Location: Mumbai (Onsite)

Experience: 15–25 Years

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Infrastructure Leader to head end-to-end infrastructure planning, execution, and operations for our expanding network. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities to manage large-scale infrastructure, vendor ecosystems, and facility operations aligned with organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Infrastructure Strategy & Planning

• Develop and execute infrastructure strategy aligned with business expansion plans.

• Lead greenfield and brownfield projects including new center setups and upgrades.

• Ensure scalability, cost optimization, and operational efficiency across locations.

2. Facility & Workplace Management

• Oversee end-to-end administration including preventive maintenance, repairs, and facility upkeep.

• Drive workspace planning, seating optimization, and readiness for academic and corporate functions.

• Ensure high standards of hygiene, safety, and employee experience.

3. Infrastructure & Asset Management

• Manage critical infrastructure including HVAC systems, electrical systems, UPS, generators, and IT infra coordination.

• Implement asset lifecycle management and tracking mechanisms.

• Ensure minimal downtime and high operational reliability.

4. Vendor Management & Procurement

• Lead vendor selection, negotiations, and contract finalization.

• Manage SLAs, vendor performance, and cost optimization initiatives.

• Oversee procurement for infrastructure, interiors, and operational requirements.

5. Project Execution & CapEx Management

• Drive end-to-end project execution including budgeting, timelines, and quality control.

• Monitor CapEx and OpEx budgets and ensure adherence.

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contractors.

6. Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, safety standards, and local laws.

• Conduct audits and implement risk mitigation strategies.

• Maintain documentation and regulatory approvals.

7. Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor regional/admin/facility teams.

• Drive performance management, capability building, and succession planning.

• Foster a culture of accountability and operational excellence.

Key Requirements

• 15–25 years of experience in Infrastructure / Facility Management / Administration roles.

• Proven experience in handling large-scale infrastructure projects and multi-location operations.

• Strong expertise in vendor management, procurement, and contract negotiations.

• Exposure to education sector / large campuses / corporate infrastructure preferred.

• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong financial acumen with experience in managing CapEx & OpEx budgets.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA / PGDM / Engineering background (Civil/Electrical preferred).

• Certifications in Facility Management / Project Management (added advantage).
