Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior GIS Executive with expertise in GIS analysis, satellite image processing, and geospatial data management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with GIS and remote sensing tools, satellite data analysis, and cloud-based geospatial platforms to support spatial intelligence and decision-making initiatives.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess any one of the following qualifications:

Postgraduate Degree in GIS, Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related discipline

OR

B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Information Technology, or related fields

OR

MCA (Master of Computer Applications)

Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in GIS, remote sensing, image analysis, and geospatial data processing.

Key Responsibilities

Perform GIS data creation, analysis, validation, and visualization.

Process and analyze satellite imagery from optical and microwave sensors.

Conduct image classification, geo-referencing, and spatial analysis.

Generate and analyze Digital Elevation Models (DEM) and other geospatial datasets.

Develop and maintain GIS databases and thematic maps.

Utilize remote sensing techniques for environmental and land-use analysis.

Work with cloud-based geospatial platforms for large-scale data processing.

Integrate satellite, weather, climate, and biophysical datasets for advanced analysis.

Support project teams with spatial data interpretation and reporting.

Ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency of geospatial datasets.

Required Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience with:

ERDAS Imagine

ArcGIS

ENVI

SNAP

Other GIS and Remote Sensing software tools

Experience with Google Earth Engine (GEE).

Knowledge of cloud infrastructure related to data storage and computation.

Expertise in:

Satellite image processing

Geo-referencing

Spatial analysis

GIS database management

DEM generation and analysis

Understanding of optical and microwave satellite data processing.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of weather, climate, and environmental datasets.

Understanding of relationships between satellite observations and biophysical parameters.

Experience in geospatial modeling and environmental monitoring projects.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
