Job Description
As a Senior GIS Consultant at WSP, you will play an important role in supporting multi-disciplinary projects across Infrastructure planning & environmental consents. You will join a growing team of geospatial professionals committed to driving digital transformation and advancing our geospatial capabilities.
In this role, you will support the geospatial delivery of complex projects, contributing your skills and enthusiasm to help ensure successful outcomes. You will assist clients in unlocking efficiencies, visualising and interpreting complex data, and making data-informed decisions.
A keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to quality are essential. Under the guidance of senior team members, you will prepare and manage digital data from various sources, conduct spatial analysis, and produce intuitive web applications and supporting figures.
You will play a key role in delivering project tasks, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard, consistently exceeding client expectations. You will also contribute to promoting our geospatial services internally and externally.

Responsibilities
- Deliver multidisciplinary projects by producing high-quality GIS outputs, spatial analysis, and data management using ArcGIS Pro and ETL tools
- Drive digital transformation through innovative, client-focused geospatial solutions across Water, Energy, Earth, and Environment
- Take ownership of data integrity by managing and validating data capture in-house and through third parties, including designing local and enterprise geodatabases
- Deliver GIS outputs that meet established standards, scope, and budget while consistently achieving exceptional quality and client satisfaction
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand needs and deliver tailored geospatial solutions
- Share knowledge and innovations to strengthen the technical capability of the GIS team
- Help shape efficient working practices that deliver industry-leading, best-value services to clients
- Provide GIS expertise across the business wherever needed
- Commit to continuous professional development to stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies
Qualifications
Required Skillsets
- Relevant 7+ years of experience in GIS modelling & related projects
- In-depth understanding of GIS principles and geospatial data management, with the ability to apply them across diverse sectors
- Proven experience in designing and deploying Esri Enterprise solutions, including:
- Esri ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online
- Configuration of ArcGIS web applications such as Experience Builder, Dashboards, 3D scenes, Survey123, and Field Maps
- Skilled in building and automating workflows using FME Form (desktop) and publishing workflows to FME Flow (server) for enterprise-level automation
- Proficient in at least one programming language for developing geospatial applications (e.g., Python, JavaScript, SQL, R/Shiny), including use of Esri APIs where relevant
- Highly proficient in managing spatial data using File Geodatabases (FGDB) and Enterprise Geodatabases (EGDB), ensuring data integrity and access
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering quality and identifying opportunities to add value through GIS
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying ahead of emerging technologies
