Core Responsibilities
Financial Compliance, Reporting Governance
- Lead financial reporting, compliance, and internal control frameworks ensuring accuracy, transparency, and audit readiness.
- Manage end-to-end due diligence processes with Big 4grade rigor.
- Ensure adherence to statutory requirements, including GST, TDS, and regulatory filings.
- Coordinate with auditors, legal partners, and external advisors for timely and compliant reporting.
Financial Operations Internal Controls
- Oversee accounting, payables, receivables, reimbursements, payroll coordination, and overall finance operations.
- Implement and enhance financial systems, automation, and governance mechanisms for efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain strong documentation, reconciliation processes, and financial discipline across functions.
Business Finance Financial Planning
- Own and review P L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements with insights and actionable recommendations for leadership.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to aid strategic business decisions.
- Provide variance analysis, risk assessments, and financial insights to leadership teams.
Fundraising Support
- Manage investor reporting, financial documentation, and data room readiness.
- Prepare relevant financial models and analysis to support fundraising activities.
Cost Optimization Efficiency
- Identify and drive cost efficiency initiatives while safeguarding business performance.
- Implement budgeting governance and spending control mechanisms to promote accountability across teams.
Stakeholder Team Leadership
- Work closely with functions including HR, Legal, Operations, and Technology to ensure seamless financial alignment.
- Manage relationships with auditors, tax consultants, and external financial advisors.
- Lead and mentor members of the finance team to build capability and ensure scalable financial operations.
Candidate Profile
- Chartered Accountant with 46 years of experience.
- Strong exposure to regulatory compliance, audit, and reporting.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced startup environment and involvement in fundraising processes will be preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders, create scalable systems, and work in a high-growth environment.
Qualifications
Chartered Accountant with 4+ years of experience.
