Job Purpose
Lead all construction operations for a large-scale township development, ensuring timely, quality, and budget-compliant delivery. Oversee planning, execution, team management, stakeholder coordination, and strategic project oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive construction plans, including schedules, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team of project managers, engineers, and supervisors.
- Monitor execution of construction activities, enforcing quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Implement and oversee quality control, site audits, and regular inspections.
- Manage project budgets, cost-control measures, procurements, and vendor/subcontractor contracts.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, local authorities, and internal teams for project approvals, permits, and timely communication.
- Address risks by developing mitigation strategies and ensuring project adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and compliance on site.
Skills & Experience Required
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 22+ years experience in large-scale construction, including real estate, township, and major residential projects.
- Minimum 5 years as Site Construction Head managing medium/large projects (100200 crore scale).
- Deep knowledge of construction technology, contract management, QA/QC, HSE, NDT, billing, and infrastructure planning.
- Experience with contract negotiation, vendor management, material control, statutory compliance, survey practices.
- Proven leadership, team-building, and communication skills (English/Hindi).
Physical/Work Requirements
- Ability to inspect all areas of the site in variable weather, including climbing ladders and scaffolding.
- Prolonged standing and walking may be required.
