Role Description The Senior General Manager is a full-time on-site position based in Umargam, responsible for leading overall plant or business unit operations and ensuring strategic and operational goals are met. This role oversees production, quality, safety, and maintenance activities, while optimizing resources and costs to achieve performance targets. The Senior General Manager will lead cross-functional teams, drive continuous improvement initiatives, implement operational excellence practices, and ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards. They will collaborate closely with senior leadership on planning, budgeting, and performance reviews, and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers. The role also includes mentoring managers, fostering a high-performance culture, and supporting strategic projects and expansions.
Qualifications

• Proven experience in senior operations or general management roles within manufacturing, engineering, or energy-related industries.
• Strong leadership, people management, and team-building capabilities, with experience mentoring and developing managers.
• Demonstrated expertise in production planning, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
• Solid understanding of quality, safety, and compliance standards relevant to industrial and infrastructure operations.
• Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage complex, multi-site or large-scale operations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including collaboration with senior leadership and external partners.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; a master's degree or MBA is an advantage.
• Comfort working on-site in Umargam, with a hands-on approach to monitoring operations and engaging with teams at all levels.
