Job Description

Experience Range: 5 to 8 Years

Notice Period Preference: Immediate to 30 Days (Preferred)

Location: Andheri East, Mumbai

Shift Timings: 2 PM to 11 PM IST

Budget: Upto INR 20 lacs

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior General Ledger (GL) Accountant to manage core accounting operations, financial close activities, and balance sheet reconciliations. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in US GAAP, hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP (mandatory), and preferably exposure to the Healthcare/Healthcare Services industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage General Ledger accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, provisions, reclassifications, and other accounting adjustments.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities within established timelines.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and investigate unusual transactions or variances.
  • Ensure financial reporting is compliant with US GAAP and company accounting policies.
  • Review and analyze P&L and Balance Sheet accounts to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support preparation of financial statements, audit schedules, and management reports.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, FP&A, and other finance teams to ensure accurate accounting treatment.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
  • Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance accounting efficiency and controls.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and SOX compliance requirements, where applicable.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in General Ledger accounting.
  • Strong understanding and practical application of US GAAP.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP is mandatory.
  • Experience in month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Strong experience in account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the Healthcare, Healthcare Services, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), HealthTech, Medical Billing, or Life Sciences industry.
  • Experience working in multinational organizations, GCCs, or shared services environments.
  • Exposure to SOX controls and audit support activities.
  • CPA, CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent accounting certification preferred.
