We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for a leading MNC in India with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Jenkins (Declarative Pipelines). The ideal candidate will drive end-to-end CI/CD automation, enhance system reliability, and ensure scalable, secure cloud operations across the full software development lifecycle.
This role requires a highly independent professional who can own deliverables, proactively solve problems, and continuously improve system resilience and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
CI/CD Engineering & Automation
- Design, develop, and optimize end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, with a strong emphasis on Declarative Pipeline syntax.
- Implement automated build, test, and deployment workflows to improve release velocity and reliability.
- Continuously enhance pipeline efficiency, security, and scalability.
GCP Infrastructure & Cloud Operations
- Automate deployment, scaling, and management of applications across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including:
- GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine)
- Cloud Run
- Compute Engine
- Cloud SQL
- Cloud Storage
- VPC
- Cloud Functions
- Ensure secure and optimized cloud infrastructure aligned with best practices.
- Maintain and improve cloud networking, storage, and compute configurations.
Reliability, Monitoring & Performance
- Implement logging, monitoring, and ing solutions for cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) such as availability, latency, and system health.
- Automate system scalability and continuously enhance performance, resiliency, and operational efficiency.
- Support pre-production readiness through infrastructure design reviews, load testing, capacity planning, and launch assessments.
Incident & Lifecycle Management
- Engage across the full software development lifecycle — from design and development to deployment, operations, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain production services with proactive monitoring and rapid incident response.
- Execute corrective action plans using sustainable, preventative, and automated solutions wherever possible.
Collaboration & Governance
- Work closely with development teams to ensure seamless integration into CI/CD pipelines and GCP environments.
- Ensure adherence to security best practices and organizational policies within GCP.
- Maintain clear documentation of processes, configurations, and architectural decisions.
- Stay current with emerging GCP services and evolving DevOps/SRE best practices.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE).
- Proven expertise in Jenkins (Declarative Pipelines).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD architecture and automation principles.
- Ability to independently manage tasks, drive deliverables, and take ownership of outcomes.
