Senior GCP Data Engineer (BigQuery / Airflow / Data Migration)

Role: Data Engineer (Senior Level)

Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)

Location: 100% Remote

We are seeking a Senior GCP Data Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise data platform modernization initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building cloud-native data pipelines, large-scale data migrations, BigQuery, Airflow, Python, and SQL within enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
• Build and optimize large-scale data ingestion and transformation workflows
• Support enterprise data migration and modernization initiatives
• Process structured and semi-structured datasets for analytics and reporting
• Develop real-time and near real-time data pipelines
• Collaborate with architects and analytics teams to support cloud data platforms
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance

Requirements

• 7+ years of Data Engineering experience
• Strong GCP experience
• Hands-on BigQuery experience
• Airflow or Cloud Composer experience
• Strong Python and SQL skills
• Experience processing large-scale datasets
• Experience supporting enterprise data migrations
