Senior Fullstack Engineer

Asign is building the future of art-tech a unified ecosystem for artists, collectors, and

institutions. We bring together inventory management, global art IDs, AI-powered discovery, and

a transparent marketplace into one platform.

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in architecting, scaling, and

optimizing Asign's next-generation art-tech infrastructure. You'll lead development efforts,

influence design decisions, and mentor a team of engineers building products at the intersection

of creativity, technology, and data intelligence.

What You'll Build & Lead

Architecture & Scale: Design modular, fault-tolerant systems using React, Next.js,

Python (FastAPI), and MongoDB, ensuring performance at global scale.

Technical Leadership: Guide a small team of engineers, drive code reviews, and

enforce engineering best practices.

AI-Driven Innovation: Partner with data and AI teams to integrate ML-driven features

from personalized recommendations to image and metadata intelligence.

Cloud-Native Infrastructure: Drive containerization, CI/CD, and monitoring excellence

across AWS and Kubernetes environments.

End-to-End Ownership: From design to deployment ensure features are delivered

with scalability, observability, and maintainability built in.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Design, and DevOps to

deliver delightful, resilient user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Frontend Engineering

Architect and implement high-performing UIs using React + Next.js with TypeScript and

design-system principles.

Ensure accessibility, modularity, and reusability across features.

Profile and optimize front-end performance for scalability.

Backend Engineering

Build and optimize distributed, secure APIs in FastAPI (Python) and Node.js.

Design scalable data models in MongoDB; integrate SQL where necessary.

Implement advanced authentication/authorization (JWT/OAuth2), rate limiting, and API

gateways.

Champion microservices and event-driven design patterns.

DevOps & Cloud

Deploy and manage workloads on AWS (EKS, S3, EC2, RDS, CloudWatch).

Drive Kubernetes automation, Helm templating, and container optimization.

Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Jenkins.

Lead observability initiatives: logging, tracing, and metrics for production visibility.

AI & Integration

Collaborate on integrating AI/ML models (recommendation, tagging, fraud/anomaly

detection).

Build pipelines and APIs for AI inference at scale.

Drive experimentation frameworks to measure impact of AI-driven features.

What We're Looking For

810 years of full-stack development experience in product-based or high-scale SaaS

environments.

Deep expertise in React.js, Next.js, Python (FastAPI), and MongoDB.

Strong architectural understanding of microservices, APIs, caching, and async

processing.

Proven experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

Strong grasp of performance optimization, database scaling, and observability tooling.

Experience leading or mentoring mid-level engineers.

Nice-to-Have

Experience integrating AI/ML APIs (Vision, NLP, Recommendation).

Exposure to GraphQL, event buses (Kafka/SNS/SQS), or serverless design.

Knowledge of FinOps and cost optimization strategies on AWS.

Familiarity with frontend performance tooling (Lighthouse, Web Vitals).
