Senior Fullstack Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer / Technical Lead with 4+ years of hands-on development experience and strong expertise in backend engineering, system architecture, and technical leadership.

The person will be responsible for leading the development team technically, making architecture decisions, reviewing code, guiding developers, and ensuring that features are developed using scalable, secure, and maintainable approaches.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role. The candidate should continue to contribute to development while also taking ownership of the team's technical direction and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Lead and mentor the development team.
• Assign and review technical work with the team.
• Provide technical guidance to developers when they face complex issues.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure development standards are followed.
• Identify technical risks and address them proactively.
• Help the team make appropriate technical and architectural decisions.
• Establish and maintain coding, API, database, and development standards.
• Work closely with the Product Manager/Business Analyst to understand requirements and convert them into technical solutions.

Architecture & Backend

• Design scalable application and backend architecture.
• Design REST APIs and backend services using Node.js.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases.
• Review existing architecture and recommend improvements.
• Handle performance, scalability, security, and reliability considerations.
• Troubleshoot complex backend and production issues.
• Ensure appropriate authentication, authorization, validation, logging, and error handling.

Full Stack Development

• Develop backend services and APIs hands-on.
• Develop and maintain React.js applications when required.
• Work closely with frontend developers on API contracts and integration.
• Take ownership of technically complex features from design through deployment.

Delivery & Team Collaboration

• Work with QA, DevOps, UI/UX, and Product teams.
• Support sprint planning and technical estimation.
• Identify dependencies and blockers early.
• Ensure the team follows agreed development and deployment processes.
• Support production releases and troubleshooting when required.
• Maintain technical documentation for architecture and key modules.
