About The Role
As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer at SetuAI, you'll be at the heart of building the platform that helps India's most ambitious students prepare for JEE, NEET, and beyond. You'll own end-to-end features — from crafting the adaptive test engine to building the analytics dashboards that teachers and parents rely on daily.
We are a small, high-trust team. You'll have direct input into architecture decisions, work closely with founders, and see the impact of your work in student outcomes within weeks of shipping.
We use Next.js 14, TypeScript, Supabase, and Tailwind CSS. We value clean code, fast shipping, and thoughtful trade-offs.
What you'll do
- Design and build full-stack features across Next.js frontend and Supabase backend
- Own the performance of core user flows: onboarding, adaptive tests, and parent dashboards
- Write clean, well-tested TypeScript with a focus on maintainability
- Collaborate directly with the product team to scope and ship features in 1–2 week cycles
- Participate in architecture reviews and help define our technical roadmap
- Mentor junior engineers and review pull requests
- Optimize for performance — LCP, CLS, and API response times are metrics you care about
What you bring
- 4+ years of full-stack engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in React (hooks, context, performance optimization)
- Experience with Next.js App Router and server components
- Comfortable with PostgreSQL, ideally Supabase or similar BaaS
- TypeScript is your daily driver — strong typing is non-negotiable
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Vercel deployments, and modern DevOps practices
Nice to have
Not required — but these will make you stand out.
- Experience building EdTech or consumer SaaS products
- Contributions to open-source projects
- Familiarity with Framer Motion and animation-heavy UIs
